Hi there super mum! I know your days can be super busy and finding time for yourself can be a challenge, especially when it comes to staying active. It’s a common challenge amongst lots of my mummy clients, so I thought I’d share 4 quick tips to help you move your body, no matter how little time you have.
- Park Playtime: When you take your children to the park, why not seize the opportunity to get moving too. While they’re playing, you could use that time to go for a brisk walk around the play area, do some bodyweight exercises, or even join in with them.
- Involve Friends: Find mum friends who want to stay active too. Plan group activities like walking, jogging, or yoga sessions. It’s a win-win for catching up with friends and moving at the same time.
- Naptime Workouts: Remember a workout doesn’t need to be long for it to be beneficial. Whether it’s 15 minutes or 45minutes, why not take advantage of the quiet moments, when your little one is snoozing. There are lots of YouTube channels offering short workout routines you can do from the comfort of your living room.
- Family Fitness: Making movement a family thing can be a great way to stay active. You could plan activities that involve everyone, like playing a game of tag, going for bike rides, or a family walk, all while creating lasting memories.
Remember, you don’t need long hours in the gym to stay active and maintain your well-being. Every bit of movement counts, and by prioritizing your health, you’re setting a positive example for your family too! And as I always say, one of the key things to making movement a consistent part of your life, is finding something you enjoy and you’ll never look back :).
If you’d like support around how you can include more movement into your routine, reach out anytime, I’d be happy to help!
